Google Earth

To all friends and family,

I recommend you all get Google Earth (www.earth.google.com). It's a small download, then run it and copy and paste this into the search box:

"lat=24.1735426533, lon=102.406584545"

This should take you to Eshan, the town I am staying in. Just north of Eshan is the city where the other GAPpers are staying, and where we will be going this weekend. It's called Yuxi:

"lat=24.3516149997, lon=102.544272067"

And the next town north after than is Kunming. Capital city of Yunnan, very popular tourist destination and the airport I flew into when I arrived (there is a direct highway from Kunming to Eshan, and it can be seen on the map). Kunming's co-ods:

"lat=25.05, lon=102.7"

Don't be fooled, many of the names of the cities in this part of china seem to be horribly wrong on google earth.
