I'm in Hong Kong now!

It turned out that to get a new visa for mainland china i needed to go to Hong Kong. At first seemed a bad thing considering i was on the other damn side of china and had only 5 days untill the current one ran out, but it's all good because HK is awsome.

I arrived here yesterday midday.
It's really weird here, it's NOTHING like the rest of China. Loads of people speak english, in fact it kinda reminds me of a much bigger and busier Melbourne (as absurd as that sounds). It's got Melbourne-like nightlife and is amazingly multicultural. I spent yesterday afternoon just wandering around and accidentally found Piers and Bek - and considering how big HK is and that I didn't even know they were here - that's quite a feat. We went out last night and checked out some HK bars - I FOUND COOPERS PALE ALE for sale!!! HK has an awsome array of bars and clubs. Today Piers and Bek convinced me to come to HK disneyland with them, it's was much less exciting than i expected so i left them there after 4 hours or so. I was going to climb to Victoria Peak but my legs were sore so instead i just wandered around all afternoon like yesterday. I bought a new Radiohead cd (well technically Tom Yorke solo album) Nevertheless = EXCITING. Oh also bought 'In Cold Blood' which I've wanted to read since I saw Capote so I've happy :D
