Last weekend and this week

Sorry, I haven't posted for a while, but I've been busy and just forgotten about it.

Last weekend the Yuxi girls (Bec and Bec) and the Kunming guys (Daniel and Mike) came down to Eshan. They arrived around lunch so we took them to a shop that sells really nice dumplings which everyone enjoyed. Then we walked through the market to the hotel that our link teacher recommened. After some confusion we worked out that they didn't take check-ins until 5 pm, so we went back to our school and climbed the mountain behind the school. We had dinner in the school then caught shoebox cabs to the hotel and all checked in at about 6. Piers and I decided to stay the hotel as well because it was more convient but also because the beds were really comfortable (compared to ours). That night we went to the local square where there was folk dancing, snooker, rollerskating, a jungle resterant and a bizzare nightclub (amazingly we found a nightclub in Eshan!). We hung around in the nightclub until I have no idea where because the beer was very cheep so we were all a litttle drunk (read: understatement, HIGHLY INEBRIATED). Then Piers lost the room key so i was deprived of my loverly bed and had to share a single bed with Daniel! I was kinda somewhat annoyed about that! Then next day we got up late and went to a really classy resterant in town, there we had the best meal i've had in china yet. It was totally awsome! In fact I think we will go there again for dinner tonight.

Anyway, this week i've been showing the Grade two kids (oh yeah, piers and i swapped over lessons so i'm teaching grade two now) Google Earth. They think it is SO amazing, which is fair considering most of them have genuinly never gone further than Yuxi (the next town from Eshan). Anyway, i've got another class in 20 mins and i have to get there a bit early to make sure the computers set up, hope you are all well and having a good time doing whatever you are doing.
